And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” 

Matthew 28:19-20a

The Great Commission found in Matthew 28 clearly identifies the who, what, when, and where of God’s plan for Christians to take the Gospel to the world:

•  Who? It is an understood "[You] go therefore…"
•  What? "Go and make disciples, baptizing, and teaching…"
•  When? "Go" and "make" are imperative verbs in the continuous present perfect tense verbs.
•  Where? "All nations…" 

The how of the Great Commission is a subject that has been written and studied and interpreted in many different ways by many different people. Some see the Great Commission as a simple “God bless you” when paying for coffee while others take it as an order to a foreign country as a missionary. While the how can be up for personal interpretation, the Christian's role is not up for debate. The Great Commission is an order from Christ Himself.
